2013 Dry Creek Valley Classic Zinfandel

Overview

Harvested from the hillside terraces of the Bernier-Sibary "Zinyard" and Henderlong Nalle estate vineyard, our Dry Creek Valley Zin reflects the remarkable characteristics of both vintage and place. 2013 was an exceptionally warm, dry year producing a full-bodied, rich wine with strong flavors of cherry pie, molasses and pepper. Dusty "Zinberry" fruit and hints of vanilla on the nose give way to a vibrantly smooth mouthfeel, followed by a long, mellow finish with notes of violets.

Fermented in open top tanks and half ton bins for 7-14 days. Malolactic fermentation was completed in barrels. Egg white fined and aged in French oak, new to 4-year-old. Pair with Andrew's grilled rib-eye steak. *Wine geek note: optimum drinking dates are 2016-2022 or decant for earlier drinking.
